I've started a new thing recently, rock climbing. I've been on a few climbs (gym and outdoor) in the past few years. This year I'm getting ready for a trip in April. So I've been told to practice up or suffer the consequences.
Rock climbing is one of those things that you don't really get at first. It certainly is challenging. Your hands and arms get sore quick not to mention how cramped your feet are. Your fingers are scraped up and sometimes bleeding.
Sounds like fun huh?
Well, if you can look past that (and the cost) you find yourself more and more interested in doing well as time goes on. You take bigger risks and you learn what your limits are. Each climb is a problem that you have to solve. Figuring it out becomes fun, whereas before you were just putting one hand over the other.
Knowing your limits is part of knowing yourself and its a good confidence builder.
Well, thats all for now...climb on.
